Protravel International has invested in a number of outstanding technology products, allowing us to deliver the best possible combination of service, cost reduction, accurate information and value.
Protravel’s technology products include GLOBAL MATRIX , a highly sophisticated back office system which provides every detail about all aspects of travel reservations, including airline tickets as reported to the Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) each week, hotel reservations, car reservations, tickets issued, voided, exchanged and refunded.
Protravel's ARC report is filed electronically each week via the Internet-based Interactive Agent Reporting (IAR) system.
Toronto-based GLOBAL MATRIX provides Protravel with a state of the art back office system which interfaces with the front end reservation system (SABRE) so that all invoiced items can be tracked efficiently. Protravel has installed third party systems for tracking sales and preparing detailed travel management reports.
mySabre
Our “mySabre” program is a network resident point of sale agent assist program, available on all of our agents desktops and our key account executives’ home computers. This program gives Protravel agents access to a wealth of information, including reservations, visa and passport requirements, specialized geographical information, weather updates, detailed hotel and car info, tour information, etc. All agents are trained to use this program and are able to access it from anywhere with an Internet connection.
PROCHECK: Quality Control
Protravel has invested heavily in automated quality control programs. Our resident automated QC program PROCHECK performs over 180 quality checks on every single reservation. Included among these are:
- Seat assignment
- Continuity errors
- All confirmation numbers
- Lowest possible fare
- Travel policy compliance
- Confirmation of all special requests
- Form of payment Accuracy of management report entries
- Ticket delivery information
In addition, PROCHECK works around the clock to clear wait lists, assign preferred seats, look for lower fares up to the day of flight and upgrade travelers on a number of domestic and international carriers. I
International flight reservations are checked by our inhouse Rate Desk, The Rate Desk agents search for the best possible fares prior to ticketing.
Virtually There
All reservations receive a confirmation e-mail containing a link to the Virtually There web site. This web site provides up to the minute details about a traveler’s itinerary, including all air, hotel and car reservations, plus confirmation numbers, schedule changes, driving directions, local weather, etc. This is a dynamic system which interfaces with our reservation system in real time, allowing a traveler to get up to the minute information by merely refreshing the internet browser.
